Silva Screen Records release Dominik Scherrer’s score to BBC TV's drama based on J.B. Priestley’s play. An Inspector Calls is one of four literary dramas that the BBC has ordered as part of their season on classic 20th century literature. J.B. Priestley’s play was adapted for TV by Helen Edmunson. It is directed by Aisling Walsh (A Poet in New York) and stars David Thewlisas as Inspector, Ken Stott as Arthur Birling and Miranda Richardson as Sybil Birling. The film will first transmit on 13 September 2015 on BBC One... Dominik Scherrer’s score to the BBC's adaptation of An Inspector Calls is a short, but rather sweet soundtrack. The album contains 10 tracks (24 min, 04 sec). But what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. There are more than a handful of interesting, beautifully bleak, themes. For those that enjoyed the TV Drama, and are avid soundtrack collectors, then this is an essential purchase. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
