MovieScore Media release Matthew Llewellyn's score for The Murder Pact. Inspired by the Edgar Allan Poe classic The Tell-Tale Heart, writer John Doolan and director Colin Theys give a new spin to Poe’s story which now revolves around four friends whose promising future at a prestigious university is jeopardized when they witness the accidental death of their classmate. As another student reveals she knows about their involvement, the friends panic and start to plot her murder... Matthew Llewellyn turns in a rather bizarre sounding electronic score for The Murder Pact. At times it sounded like a low budget '80s movie score, but there are some themes worth sticking around for. The album opens with an above average pop track 'Deadly Romance, written by Matthew Llewellyn and featuring vocals by Spelles. The album contains 18 tracks (47 min, 40 sec). 'I Chose You' and 'Through the Cracks' are interesting. And while it's not an essential purchase, for those who enjoy quirky, electro scores that sounds out of place and out of time, there are a handful of themes that make this worth picking up. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
