Internationally acclaimed jazz artist Shannon Murray, alias Saxman, returns with a new album of Cool West Coast Jazz: The Stuff that Dreams are made of… The ‘Soulful Californian’s’ new album of original jazz compositions are inspired by Hollywood's 'Film Noir' genre of the 1940s... It pretty much goes without saying that if you're not a fan of jazz, and most importantly, the saxophone, then you won't really enjoy this album. For the rest of us, however, this is an interesting album that sees Shannon Murray (aka Saxman) delivering another smooth jazz set. The album contains 8 tracks (41 min, 34 sec) and this time around Murray draws inspiration for his work from the 1940s genre of Hollywood cinema known as film noir. This isn't, as you may be expecting, a dark and moody affair, but a rather upbeat collection of saxophone tracks. This is the perfect background music for a quiet night in. Put a log on the fire and turn the lights down low and you're in for a chilled evening. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
