Belgian five-piece Balthazar release their new album Thin Walls. For those unfamiliar with the band's output, you may be surprised to learn they helm from Belgian, as the opening track 'Decency' and 'Dirty Love' appear to have them singing with British Northern accents, bringing to mind the work of The Last Shadow Puppets. And 'Bunker' wouldn't seem out of place on an early Gorillaz album. Thin Walls contains 10 songs (40 min, 19 sec) and the whole package is an enjoyable indie album. It's one of those rare beasts where each track is wildly different from the previous yet you'll instantly find something on each song to enjoy. Balthazar's fans will no doubt already have preordered this months ago, but if you're unfamiliar with them, this is the perfect time to add some of their songs to your music collection. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
