Born at the dawn of the 21st Century, The Intelligence release their latest album, Vintage Future. The creation of Lars Aldric Finberg, the band is an ever-evolving vehicle for Finberg's talent.

Vintage Future is a modern indie rock album, which tackles the usual topics of relationships, ambitions and Finberg's own moral values. It's amazing to witness how much Finberg has changed the band's sound since 2004's Boredom and Terror. While there's still an element of lo-fi punk permeating Vintage Future, this latest offering is a lot more polished and way more tuneful than their first album.

Highlights, are too many to mention, and are subjective in any case, but I particularly enjoyed the retro sounding 'We Refuse To Pay The Dues', while 'Whip My Valet' dips a toe, tentatively, into the band's old punk roots, but with years of experience to lean on, we are left with a much more soulful sound.

The album contains 10 tracks (38 min, 12 sec) and it's certainly an album that will grow on you.
