ScreamWorks Records presents another thriller score from Scott Glasgow, the composer from such affectionate genre entries as Hack! and Lo. His work on Secrets of a Psychopath underscores the twisted relationship of an incestuous brother and sister duo who lure unsuspecting people to their house via a dating site... Scott Glasgow delivers some interesting themes for Secrets of a Psychopath. Having said that, there's nothing here that you won't have heard elsewhere. The album contains 18 tracks (52 min, 35 sec) of pretty standard psychological horror fare. But I did enjoy the rather sweet homage to Jerry Goldsmith's score for Poltergeist (1982). Glasgow's 'Red Room' opens with a theme that is very similar to the opening of Goldsmith's 'The Calling / The Neighborhood (Main Title)'. While it won't rock your world, there are enough interesting segments to make it worth buying if you're a fan of horror scores. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
