La-La Land Records release Blake Neely's original score for season one of The Flash. The show is a fast-paced super hero drama that follows the high-speed adventures of Central City Police scientist Barry Allen, an everyday guy with the heart of a hero and the genuine desire to help others. When an unexpected accident at the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator facility strikes Barry, he finds himself suddenly charged with the incredible power to move at super speeds. While Barry has always been a hero in his soul, his newfound powers have finally given him the ability to act like one. With the help of the research team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry begins testing the limits of his evolving powers and using them to stop crime. With a winning personality and a smile on his face, Barry Allen - aka The Flash - is finally moving forward in life... very, very fast... Blake Neely has composed some impressive themes and set pieces for season one of The Flash. The album is available as a standalone, or as a special edition 2-CD release, with disc one containing music from The Flash: Season 1, and disc two featuring the first part of the score from the two-night event The Flash Vs. Arrow. Disc two of The Flash Vs. Arrow score is released with the Arrow: Season 3 soundtrack. This soundtrack contains 59 tracks (2 hr, 17 min, 10 sec) of which 29 (1 hr, 18 min, 06 sec) are from The Flash score, and the other 30 (59 min, 04 sec) represents part one of The Flash Vs Arrow score. There are so many stand out moments here that it's hard to pick out favourites, although if pushed, I'd have to single out 'Eddie and Iris', a short, but very sweet track. A word of caution. When buying this online (especially the digital download edition) it's not overly clear whether you're just buying the 1 or 2 disc edition. The best way to ensure you get the bonus material is to buy the scores from La-La Land Records (www.lalalandrecords.com). 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
