Silva Screen Records release Michael Price's score for Unforgotten. Starring Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar as detectives investigating a ‘cold’ murder case of 39 years ago. When the bones of a young man are found beneath the footings of a demolished house, an investigation begins that will unravel the lives of four people who have been waiting for this moment for nearly forty years, as they discover that the past can’t, and won’t, stay buried forever... While Michael Price's score for Unforgotten is far from being a bad collection of tracks, it's also nothing overly special. Obviously originally designed to sit quietly in the background and add an extra layer to the onscreen drama, when listened to on its own merits, the music falls just a little flat. There's nothing overly memorable or noteworthy to make it a score that's worth rushing out to buy, but if you enjoy subtle, mellow background music then there is plenty to get your teeth into here. Of this score's 16 tracks (53 min), the only one that really stood out as being something a little special was the theme housed in the closing track 'Unforgotten'. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
