The soundtrack for All Hail King Julien is released through Lakeshore Records. The album features the show’s original score by Frederik Wiedmann and songs from the beloved Netflix series. King Julien is back and shaking his booty harder than ever!. Discover the wild world of Madagascar as the king takes on the jungle’s craziest adventures in this comedy series. With his loyal sidekicks Maurice and Mort, they meet a whole new cast of colourful animals, including ambitious head of security Clover and the villainous Foosa. No one can stop this king from ruling with an iron fist... in the air... wavin' like he just doesn't care... The various artists soundtrack to All Hail King Julien is just the sort of thing that young fans of the show will love... and play to death. It's full of upbeat, pop tracks as well as songs sung from the characters (all with plenty of humour thrown into the mix). And, finally we have highlights of Frederik Wiedmann beautiful score. Of this album's 17 tracks (39 min, 28 sec), 5 (10 min, 15 sec) are composed by Wiedmann with the remaining 12 songs (29 min, 13 sec) coming from various artists. Young fans will enjoy bopping around to the pop tracks, like 'Who's Da King (All Hail King Julien)'; 'Swagnificent'; 'Boom Da Party'; and 'Me and My Crew'. Adults will enjoy Wiedmann's score, whilst both adults and kids will get a kick out of the character songs and their very silly lyrics. I couldn't help feeling that 'Iron Booty' was paying homage to 'Lapti Nek' from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (before George Lucas started fiddling with the original trilogy and replaced the song with another). This would make a wonderful gift for that young All Hail King Julien fan in your life.
