Lakeshore Records release the various artists soundtrack to Burnt, which also contains highlights of the score by Rob Simonsen. The movie follows chef, Adam Jones, who had it all – and lost it. The former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene had earned two Michelin stars and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive star though, Jones will need to leave his bad habits behind and get the best of the best on his side... The soundtrack to Burnt is made up of 11 tracks (33 min, 52 sec). Of these, only 4 (9 min, 19 sec) are from Rob Simonsen's score, with the remaining 7 (24 min, 33 sec) being made of various artist tracks. The mix of styles is a little odd, but I did enjoy listening to Simonsen's rock based 'Adam Arrives To London' - I'm more used to hearing him compose soft, beautiful themes, so it was great to hear him flex another of his creative muscles.
