How about all that plus cake? It’s a welcome home party – Tank Girl style…!

The celebrations for the return of Sub Girl into the fold include a visit to a Westworld-style venue – except that instead of cowboys, this theme park is populated by mechanical 1980s rock stars. If they had been from a different musical genre or era, writer Alan Martin could have called the place Go West World or Westlife World.

Since last issue, we now know that Magnolia Jones is actually Sub Girl, but the mystery surrounding her isn’t over just yet. Though her friends remember her well, the girl herself cannot clearly recall her old life. She also behaves rather oddly at times, adopting a surviving cyborg from the theme park, for example, and subsequently eating some of its partially cooked flesh – eww!

Tank Girl decides to reunite Sub Girl with her old vehicle, in the hope of jogging her memory, and the episode builds towards a surprisingly serious cliffhanger ending. It’s a case of two girls, one sub…
