Based on their album of the same name, Cheech and Chong’s Get Out of My Room sees Grammy Award winning comedy duo Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong overworked and over-budget in this mockumentary where they attempt to finish the four music videos featured in the film... Shot on video, as so much of '80s TV was, Get Out of My Room was the last Cheech & Chong project. The duo had been working together since the '70s and, to be fair, their particular brand of comedy was getting a little old and tired. The movie used the duo's comedy album of the same name as a springboard to insert a fake documentary approach that saw the pair talking about making the videos of four of the songs from their album. The movie ends with easily the most amusing song 'Born in East L.A.' which is a spoof reworking off Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the U.S.A.' Marijuana gags are the order of the day, as well as the duo both being totally useless at almost everything they do. If you've never seen a Cheech & Chong production, then this probably isn't the best place to start... but to be honest unless you grew up on them you'll probably not find them all that funny. 5 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
