In this climactic season finale, Agent 47 must travel to Hokkaido, Japan and check-in at the hyper-exclusive Gama facility situated on a snowy mountain peak, with breath-taking panoramic views. The private hospital uses advanced surgery techniques and research practices, boasting its own Zen garden, organic sushi restaurant and traditional Japanese hot spring. A resident AI system operates within the facility to ensure the well-being and security of all Gama patients...

Review imageEpisode 6 - Hokkaido, is the final chapter in the first season of the episodic Hitman game.

While it looks great and plays well, I couldn't help feeling I'd been here before. It's basically the same tried and tested format: there are two targets and while you can get close to them, taking them out without being spotted is not an easy task.

But the beauty with this final chapter is that the ongoing storyline comes to a head. I won't spoil anything, but not only does it work rather well, but it also made me want to play through the game again from the first chapter.

Review imageIn addition, as with the previous chapters, there is (and will be) an ongoing release of exclusive targets and additional missions. Some of this new missions, in the past, have been amongst the most fun aspects of the game.

On first appearance, this chapter appears to be a little weaker than previous installments. The map is a little smaller and the potential array of available weapons is rather limited. But this makes the game much more challenging.

So, an interesting conclusion to the first season. Let's hope that next year not only brings us another season, but also shakes things up a bit.
