Lakeshore Records releases Rob Simonsen's score for Burnt. The film follows, Adam Jones, who had it all – and lost it. The former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene had earned two Michelin stars and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive star though, Jones will need to leave his bad habits behind and get the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene. Burnt is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances... If you've already purchased the soundtrack to Burnt then you'll already own three tracks on this album 'Adam Arrives To London'; 'Cooking For Simone'; and 'The Next Menu'. And if you want all of Rob Simonsen's score then you'll need to buy both albums, as 'Birthday Cake' is strangely absent from this album. This release contains 11 tracks (33 min, 52 sec) In fact, with such a short running time I'm surprised that 'The Next Menu' wasn't also included... or better still combine both soundtracks - the running time would only just be over an hour in length. There are a number of interesting themes here, including 'Preparation' and 'Quality', but to be perfectly honest there's not much here to set your soundtrack collection on fire. This is a mellow score that is enjoyable enough, but just didn't stir any strong emotions in me one way or the other. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
