Belgian-American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley releases her new album, Porta Bohemica, which features a blend of dark, bluesy rock. The album allows Whitley to stretch her vocal range, giving us everything from the high-pitched 'Witness' to the deeper soul sound of 'The Visitor'. Whitley has the power to belt out some of the more hard edged tracks, like 'Hourglass', while being able to show her softer side in songs like 'Closer'. The album contains 9 songs (37 min, 20 sec) and this is certainly an album that has a very long shelf life. This isn't an LP that you'll get bored after you've played it for a couple of weeks. I know I'll be revisiting this again in the future. A beautiful, diverse album that is well worth adding to your music library. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
