Varèse Sarabande bring us Ramin Djawadi's score for the third and fourth season of Person of Interest. The show is a crime thriller that follows an ex-CIA agent and a mysterious billionaire who prevent violent crimes by using an all-seeing machine that can predict the events before they happen... Ramin Djawadi delivers a score that borders on classical music in places. His work on Person of Interest: Season 3 & 4 is a step above the normal TV show - in fact you'll be forgiven for thinking this is the music for a big budget movie. In a lot of instances, 'The Bridge' being possibly the most notable track, I was reminded of some of the highlights of Samuel Barber's classical music. The album contains 24 tracks (1 hr, 13 min, 24 sec) and taps into so many different genres. From electronic dance tracks ('If Then Else') to classical ('End Game', 'Til Death Do Us Part'). There's a taste of John Barry's Jazz based scored for some of the early James Bond films ('International Man Of Mystery') and there's even a little Spaghetti Western ('Core Code'). This is an impressive score that's well worth adding to your collection. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
