Lakeshore Records release Lyle Workman's original score for the Netflix original series Love. The show follows nice guy Gus and brazen wild-child Mickey as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, love and other things they were hoping to avoid...

While I have to admit the score for Love is not something I'd normally listen to for pleasure, there's no escaping the fact that Lyle Workman has gone to some considerable effort to ensure that there's a lot of interesting themes running throughout this album.

Of this score's 25 tracks (51 min, 04 sec), personal highlights include 'It’s Over'; 'Runaway Grandpa'; 'Avenue of Lovers'; 'Loyalty' and 'Reset' (which both appear to pay homage to Stanley Myers 'Cavatina' - or the theme from The Deer Hunter, as most will know it); and the main theme which opens and closes the album.

While it's far from an essential purchase, there are enough funky themes here to keep fans of the show entertained.
