Silva Screen Records releases Edmund Butt's score for the BBC's nature documentary series Yellowstone. Originally transmitted on BBC 2 in 2009 in a Sunday night prime time slot the series attracted the highest rating for a natural history series for the channel in over five years... Edmund Butt's score for Yellowstone is, perhaps not surprisingly given the documentary's content, an album full of beautiful, inspiring themes. Track after track delivers yet another spine tingling, moving segment of music - all of which could be classical pieces in their own right. The album contains 21 tracks (58 min, 48 sec). Who can fail to be moved by tracks like 'New Spring'; 'Super Volcano'; 'Red Fox Leaps'; 'Old Faithful'; and 'Flying Over Yellowstone'? This sounds like the greatest hits compilation of one of Hollywood finest composers - like a lifetime's collection of beautiful themes. Butt has achieved the impossible, by delivering more impressive and heart wrenching segments of music than most established and respected composers manage in a decade of scoring. Without a doubt, this is one of my favourite scores at the moment. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
