Sumthing Else Music Works releases Ola Strandh's original soundtrack from Ubisoft's online open world action role-playing video game, Tom Clancy's The Division. The game takes place weeks after a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City on Black Friday. One by one, basic services fail and in only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, is activated to save society. Team up with other players to investigate the source of the virus, protect civilians from dangerous factions, and reclaim the city from the overwhelming turmoil... For those who have played, and enjoyed, Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's The Division, you won't need me to tell you how integral the music is to the overall gaming experience. So I was personally quite pleased to hear that Ola Strandh's atmospheric score was being released. The album contains 18 tracks (1 hour, 18 min, 18 sec) of rocking, electronic score. And, even if you haven't played the game, there are enough adrenaline fuelled tracks here to guarantee you'll find something of interest. Not only is this an enjoyable standalone album, but it also works well as background music while playing other online games. For me, it acted as the perfect soundtrack while I got reacquainted with some of the old Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer maps. Fans of The Division, as well as game score fans in general, will get a huge kick out of this release. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
