Enemy Planes release their debut album, Beta Lowdown, which is an LP that feels comfortable right from the first play through. However, put this aside for a few days and come back to it and almost all of the songs will sound like you've known them for years. There's a vibe throughout this project that leaps many decades of music. There's a distinct '80s Indie Rock feel to some of the tracks ('Bare Your Teeth', 'We Want Blood'); a '90s Indie feel to others ('Devolver', 'Weightless') but it's all wrapped up in a shiny new modern sound that repackages so many classic feelings for a new generation. The album contains 11 tracks (41 min, 54 sec) of pure bliss. This is an album not just for the summer but for the rest of the year. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
