Lakeshore Records release the soundtrack for The Eye in the Sky, with music composed by Paul Hepker and Mark Kilian. The film is a taut, darkly comic, action thriller set against the backdrop of the highly topical (and controversial) modern warfare; the movie takes place in London, Nairobi, Las Vegas, Honolulu and 20,000 feet above the earth... The soundtrack for Eye in the Sky opens on such a promising note. 'Eye in the Sky' looks set to pave the way for the rest of the album. Sadly the score peaks before it's even started. There are little standout moments ('PJHQ'; 'Use Those Ten Minutes'; 'Never Tell A Soldier') over the course of this soundtracks 25 tracks (1 hr, 04 min, 22 sec) but there isn't really much to get overly excited by. Given the movie's premise, Paul Hepker and Mark Kilian turn in a technically flawless suspense score. Put whether it's music you want to listen to outside of the movie is another matter. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
