Platinum-selling, Denver outfit, The Lumineers return with their second album, Cleopatra, the follow up to their multi-Grammy-nominated, self-titled debut... The first single from the album, ‘Ophelia', will make fans feel right at home, with its trademark Lumineers sound - heavy on piano. There's an almost timeless quality to the music which takes influences from 18th century pastorals, 19th century work songs, 20th century folk narratives and 21st century post-modern cinematic soundscapes. The album contains 11 songs (33 min, 47 sec) with personal highlights including 'Cleopatra'; 'Angela'; 'In the Light'; 'Gale Song'; and 'Patience'. To be honest, though, there isn't a dull track on the entire LP. This is one album that you can happily listen to all the way through for weeks at a time, put away for a few months/years and dig out in the future and still get a lot of enjoyment out of it. The band's fans will not be disappointed and this will undoubtedly bring forth a new fan base who will discover just how magical The Lumineers music is. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
