Sony Music Masterworks release Dasha Charusha's score to STX Entertainment’s adrenaline-fueled action film Hardcore Henry. The movie is an unflinchingly original, first-person action film where the audience is the main character, Henry. You have just been rescued from the brink of death by your wife, who is kidnapped moments later. You have no memory, and no idea why the people who took her want you dead. Your mission is find her, solve the mystery of your existence and discover the truth behind your identity... Dasha Charusha turns in a pretty impressive atmospheric score for Hardcore Henry. Electronic in nature, the music wonderfully encapsulates the visual look of the film helping to provide a much more enjoyable viewing experience. Does it work as a standalone listening experience? Well that depends if you're a fan of atmospheric electronic scores. While I have to admit they're not really my first listening choice, Charusha manages to deliver minimalist tracks with a lot of heart and soul. The album contains 25 interesting tracks (52 min, 51 sec). It's certainly a score I'll listen to again in the future, but mainly as background music while I play a first person shooter game, rather than to kick back and relax to. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
