One grand piano. One voice. Hanne Kolstø releases her new album Live at Tøyenkirken. The prolific singer-songwriter and producer from Sykkylven has, over released five albums over the last five years. This LP sees Kolstø releasing some of her previously released songs... the twist? These are now presented as acoustic versions from the altar at the Tøyen church in Oslo. While the songs are just as impressive, there's now a more ethereal feel to each track. In April 2014 Kolstø was asked by Henie Onstad Art Centre to hold a different kind of concert. Her answer was to ask piano player Andreas Stensland Løwe to join her in interpreting and arranging some songs from her rich catalogue. The duo cut the songs down to a minimum and lets the melodies and lyrics step forward. For fans of Kolstø's recent input, this is a lovingly reworking of some of her most memorable songs. The album contains 10 tracks (42 min, 48 sec). The only slight issue was that Kolstø appears to have a little case of vocal wobble throughout 'Nothing Out Loud'. Track listing: 01 -
