Landscapes both seen and felt, real and imagined, lie at the heart of In All That Drifts From Summit Down, the debut full-length release from nomadic duo A Dead Forest Index. Comprised of brothers Adam Sherry (vocals/guitar) and Sam Sherry (drums/piano), the group crafts ethereal and intensely intimate compositions that defy trends and labeling, instead shaping an aural experience as organic as it is unpredictable...

A Dead Forest Index's In All That Drifts From Summit Down is an interesting debut album. But it's a release that will divide people into one of two camps: Those that love it and those that don't get it.

The LP contains 13 tracks (41 min, 58 sec) ranging from the seemingly raw and unpolished 'In Greyness the Water' to the Indie Folk feel of 'Cast of Lines'. On balance, it's a laid back Indie Folk/Rock album that is not (thankfully) easy to pigeonhole.

It's an album that is extremely subjective and it's worth checking out songs online first to see if it's your thing. Personally, I wouldn't want to listen to this very often, but you have to give them credit for delivering something that is a little different.
