Lakeshore Records release Carter Burwell's score for The Family Fang. The movie revolves around adult siblings Annie and Baxter Fang. Scarred from an unconventional upbringing, the two siblings return to their family home. When their parents - performance artists famous for elaborate public hoaxes - go missing under troubling circumstances, Baxter and Annie investigate. Unsure whether it’s foul play or just another elaborate ruse, nothing can prepare them for what they discover... Carter Burwell's score for The Family Fang comes as close to recapturing the magic he conjured up with his soundtrack for Being John Malkovich. In tone, instrumentation and delivery it's pretty similar. Nowhere is this more evident than on tracks like 'Before and After the Chicken Queen'. The album contains 17 tracks (35 min, 18 sec) and to be truthful the same themes are repeated a little too often - albeit cleverly altered and presented in various different ways. Personally, I really enjoyed it. No one does quirky and unhinged like Burwell. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
