Sumthing Else Music Works, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment present the original motion picture score to Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem composed by Kevin Riepl. Inspired by Warner Bros. Consumer Products' and Mattel's popular Batman Unlimited merchandise line, the movie is produced by award-winning Warner Bros. Animation and feature Batman, alongside iconic DC Comics Super Heroes such as The Flash and Green Arrow, battling the criminal likes of The Joker and The Penguin... It's pretty obvious that Kevin Riepl had a lot of fun composing the numerous themes housed in Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem. The album contains 45 tracks (56 min, 49 sec). There are a few instances ('Titles' and 'Lets Get Down') where Riepl appears to have entered the realm of James Bond score. And, from time to time there's hints of inspiration from Danny Elfman's score for the '80s/'90s Batman movies, but they're fleeting - and to be honest it would be inexcusable if he didn't pay homage to such epic Batman music. There are so many interesting themes that you'll get hours of listening pleasure out of it. From the epic, gothic 'Your Nightmare', to the cheesy 'The Love Tunnel', Riepl has something to please everyone. An impressive score which works just as well outside the movie as it does when accompanying the onscreen action. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
