ScreamWorks Records presents the digital release of Kiss the Devil in the Dark, the fantasy short written and directed by Jonathan & Rebecca Martin and scored by Gerrit Wunder. The digital release will be soon followed by a CD release, featuring Kiss the Devil in the Dark alongside Creatures of Whitechapel, another collaboration by the same filmmakers... Gerrit Wunder's score for Kiss the Devil in the Dark was a pleasant surprise. This is a score that contains several beautiful interwoven themes. The album contains 14 tracks (30 min, 28 sec) of music you'd expect from a hybrid of Christopher Young and Danny Elfman (when their at the height of creativity). Personal highlights include 'Let Her Live' (which houses a theme, which plays throughout the album, that reminded me of Tommy Tallarico & Michael Richard Plowman's score for Advent Rising); 'Vanessa' (the most Elfman-esque track); 'Love is a Lie'; and 'End Credits' (easily this score's most memorable section of music). Don't worry if you've not seen the movie, Wunder delivers a mini work of art. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
