Following the release of singles 'Turning Light' and 'Right Now', Amber Arcades - the moniker of Dutch musician Annelotte de Graaf - releases her debut album, Fading Lines... The album was inspired by time, continuity, coincidence and magic. Other inspirations include early-morning jetlag ('Turning Light’) and an artist’s plans for a utopian city (‘Constant’s Dream’). The LP contains 10 songs (39 min, 38 sec) and this is one album where the vocals are the most important issue as to whether you love the album or not. For some, de Graaf's voice will be soft and silky, allowing the listener to soak in her rich tones. While others will no doubt think that there's nothing overly different here that they haven't heard elsewhere. As modern Indie albums go, it's certainly worth checking out. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
