Aukai is the new album and project by multi-instrumentalist and composer Markus Sieber. The LP represents a collection of ambient acoustic soundscapes that take the listener on an inward journey to a place of stillness and tranquil beauty.

The album contains 13 tracks (41 min, 38 sec) of modern, laid back, classical music. The compositions partly grew out of Sieber’s love affair with the ronrocco, a plucked string instrument from Argentina that Sieber first discovered through the music of film composer Gustavo Santaolalla (Babel, Brokeback Mountain).

Almost meditative in its delivery, Aukai is an album that you'll derive many hours of listening pleasure out of. This isn't an LP that you'll get bored of quickly, and it's certainly one that you'll be digging out and playing for years to come.
