Lakeshore Records release Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans's original score for Last Days in the Desert. Ewan McGregor stars in a dual role as Jesus and the Devil in an imagined chapter from his forty days of fasting and praying in the desert. On his way out of the wilderness, Jesus struggles with the Devil over the fate of an ordinary family in crisis, setting for himself a dramatic test with distinctly human conflicts... Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans's score for Last Days in the Desert straddles the line between movie score and classical music. It's a simple, yet very powerful score, which while not overly memorable, still provides some interesting music. The soundtrack contains 20 tracks (32 min, 54 sec). There are no real themes or set pieces to latch onto here. This is a score that works best when played, as the composer intended, from start to finish. Let the music wash over you as you relax and you'll be in for a pleasurable listening experience. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
