Mark Isham's score for Septembers of Shiraz is released through Lakeshore Records. Prior to the Iranian revolution it was a place where people of all religions were allowed to flourish. This is the story of a Jewish family who abandon everything before they are consumed by the passions of revolutionaries... Mark Isham delivers some beautiful music with his score for Septembers of Shiraz. Without taking anything away from Isham, there are parallels to be drawn with John Williams's score for Schindler's List. Both are hauntingly beautiful and both focus on string based themes. However, while I love William's music, I have to say that Isham delivers a much fuller, more rounded score. The album almost works as a classical symphony in its own right. The score contains 22 tracks (1 hr, 03 min, 53 sec) and will be welcomed by fans of classical music and beautifully orchestrated soundtracks. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
