Varèse Sarabande release the Ice Age: Collision Course score by composer John Debney. Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colourful new characters...

John Debney pulls out all the stops to deliver an epic, memorable score for Ice Age: Collision Course. The album contains 30 tracks (57 min, 25 sec) and there are so many impressive themes and set pieces that it's difficult to know where to start singing its praises. However, my two favourite tracks have to be 'We Did It' and 'Wedding Preparations'.

The album seems to be following in the Alan Silvestri vein, as there are quite a lot of Predator and Back to the Future-esque moments. James Horner also seemed to be a slight inspiration with 'Did You Forget' sounding a little like music from Mrs. Doubtfire and the end of 'We Did It' having a ring of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn about it.

There's an added bonus for those in the US who buy the digital release, as it contains an additional track, a cover of the 'Dream Weaver' performed by Trent Harmon.

An entertaining and incredibly moving album that you're sure to get hours of entertainment out of.
