Oddity is a three piece alternative rock band from Chicago, IL. Brothers Oscar and Harvey Baker moved from the UK at a early age to the Windy City where they met drummer Tom Fry.

Oddity formed around January of 2012 under the name Fletcher and released two EP’s, 'Open Arms' and 'Thundersteps', which helped to establish their serrated rock credibility with audiences and critics across the U.S.

In the opening months of 2016, the trio decided to go in a different direction artistically, and this change in approach eventually prompted the name change. Settle Down is a pretty impressive debut album, which showcases the band's strengths. The album contains 11 tracks (45 min, 06 sec) and has a nice mix of modern rock and indie styles.

'Get Out of My Hair' has a clumsy start where the vocals, drums and guitar seem to clash. However, once it settles down it turns into one of this album's best tracks. 'My Own Vision' has all the hallmarks of a British band - sounding not unlike a The Last Shadow Puppets track.

It's certainly an album worth checking out. Fans of modern indie rock will no doubt find much to enjoy here.
