La-La Land Records release a double album soundtrack for composer Frederik Wiedmann music for Justice League vs Teen Titans and Batman: Bad Blood... One Frederik Wiedmann DC animated movie score contains more than enough epic themes to keep everyone happy, but two scores in one release? La-La Land Records are spoiling us. In the past, Wiedmann has delivered epic scores for Green Lantern: The Animated Series; Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox; Justice League: Gods and Monsters; and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, so it will come as no surprise to learn that he delivers the goods yet again. However, what makes this release even more impressive than usual is the fact that his approach is very different for both albums. While both deliver incredible themes, the Batman album is a lot more gothic, as you'd expect. Combined, the scores contain 1 hr, 27 min, 40 sec of music (43 min, 47 sec for Justice League vs Teen Titans and 43 min, 53 sec for Batman). A double helping of Wiedmann is almost too much excitement to take in one sitting. This is one album that should be on your wish list. 10 Darren Rea |
