Lalo Schifrin's score for Boulevard Nights (1979) is the first release in Varèse Sarabande's new range of reissued soundtrack that aims to resurrect long out of date albums or long forgotten scores that were never given a proper release. The album contains 9 tracks (36 min, 55 sec) and is certainly a product of its time. This will divide soundtrack collector's down the middle. You're either going to love or hate this '70s jazz disco vibe. Those of a certain age will love what Schifrin delivers here, and even if you're not old enough to recall the film, there's enough cheesy disco numbers to make this an interesting addition to your collection. But, whether you're a fan or not, you can't help but applaud Varèse Sarabande for their new series. I'm looking forward to hearing what they'll be releasing in the future. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
