Chain Wallet is the self-titled debut album from the Bergen-based, lo-fi dream/psych pop trio. If you love '80s pop then you'll totally fall for what Chain Wallet deliver here. Everything from the boppy synths to the bleak, melancholic bass gave me a funked up nostalgia trip back in time. In fact this is so good at capturing the essence of the '80s scene that on the second play through I was convinced that some of the tracks were from my teenage years (most notably 'Shade' which has a ring of a late '80s/ early '90s James track about it). The album contains 10 songs (34 min, 36 sec) and is a master class in capturing all the dark brooding elements of a music scene long since past. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
