Lakeshore Records release John Swihart's score for The First Girl I Loved. The film is a poignant coming-of-age tale that captures all the anxiety, bravery, and heartbreak of first love. On assignment for her high-school yearbook, social-misfit Anne charmingly hits it off with the beautiful star of the softball team, Sasha. But when Anne tells her best friend Clifton about her new crush, he reveals a hidden jealousy that threatens more than just the girls’ budding romance... John Swihart's score for The First Girl I Loved is a beautiful collection of sweet music cues, but it lacks anything that would make it an essential listening experience. The album contains 17 tracks (28 min, 16 sec), which makes this feel more like an EP than an album. If you're a collector of scores that house well composed, beautiful music cues then you'll enjoy this. Those wanting something a little more substantial with interesting and timeless themes will find this lacking. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
