Alexandre Desplat delivers a number of sweet, melancholic themes throughout his score for American Pastoral. Of the album's 17 tracks (40 min, 34 sec) highlights include 'Hotel Albaugh'; 'Swede & Merry'; 'Swede grabs Sheila'; and 'Kaddish for Seymour'.

This is certainly one of his finest scores to date, with plenty of emotionally charged tracks that you'll instantly warm to.
