MovieScore Media release Paul Saunderson's original music from the movie Starfish, a drama based on a devastating true story of an average family man battling a deadly disease. Tom Ray’s ordinary life; a stay at home father taking care of his daughter Grace and pregnant wife Nicola is stuck down by a rare disease which literally eats him up alive. With a baby in tow, the Ray family must face impossible challenges as the patriarch tries to keep his family together... Paul Saunderson delivers exactly what you'll be expecting given the movie's premise. The score is carefully designed to add an extra level of emotional attachment to the tragic story, but it also works incredibly well as a stand alone listening experience. The album includes 18 tracks (42 min, 43 sec) and while there's nothing overly groundbreaking here, it does represent an interesting collection of mellow, sweet themes - pitched at just the right level to tug at your heartstrings. I enjoyed most of the tracks, but the subtle 'Hand Malfunction' was possibly one of the highlights. I was also impressed by James Keo & Sam Clifford's vocal track 'Empires'. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
