ScreamWorks Records releases the original score for Creatures of Whitechapel, the horror fantasy short written and directed by Jonathan and Rebecca Martin and scored by Gerrit Wunder. The film links the stories of notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper and the enigmatic Dr. Frankenstein whose medical experiments need more volunteers. When Igor/Jack is tasked with one last foray into the bowels of Victorian London to find the last piece needed to bring the doctor’s Creation to life, we’re shown a rare side of the city that reveals the monster in all of us... Gerrit Wunder (Kiss the Devil in the Dark) delivers an epic gothic score for Creatures of Whitechapel. The album opens with an interesting theme ('Creatures of Whitechapel') which is echoed in 'Frankenstein's Laboratory', before moving on to slowly deliver intricate themes after intricate theme. The album contains 11 tracks (30 min, 31 sec) and manages to conjure up a gothic feel of old London. While not quite as epic and memorable as his score for Kiss the Devil in the Dark, this is still an incredible collection of themes and certainly one worth adding to your collection. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
