As Fear the Walking Dead returns for season three, the survivors are brought together in the vibrant and violent region formerly known as the U.S. - Mexico border. As international lines are done away following the world’s end, our characters must attempt to rebuild not only society, but family as well. Madison has reconnected with Travis, her apocalyptic partner, but Alicia has been fractured by her murder of Andres. Madison's son is only a few miles from his mother, but Nick’s first action as a leader saw him and Luciana ambushed by an American militia group – the couple escaped death, Luciana was shot, and Nick no longer feels immortal. Recovering both emotionally and physically, Strand has his sights set on harnessing the new world’s currency, and Ofelia's captivity will test her ability to survive and see if she can muster the savagery of her father...

The third season of Fear the Walking Dead delivers a few surprises as well as introducing a number of new characters... although, I couldn't help feeling that if you were to strip the main narrative out of this season you could pretty much skip from season two to four without really missing much (apart from one major change in the main cast).

The plot ticks along at a fair pace, but having binge watched this for review purposes, I'm not sure if it would have the same effect if you were to watch it as the episodes were broadcast - it's a show where you really need to be up to speed with where the characters are.

Extras include Inside the Episodes (1 hr, 03 min, 06 sec mini featurettes which briefly run through the main events of each episode); A Look Ahead (2 min, 45 sec teaser for what to expect this season and what direction the main characters are heading); and A Look at the Second Half of Season 3 (3 min, 08 sec).

My view of the show hasn't really changed much from how I felt after watching season one. It's a poor brother to The Walking Dead. The characters are not overly engaging and it plods along with a total lack of a sense of humour. If anything, it's drier than The Walking Dead. I did enjoy it, but it's not a show that I'd really recommend to others.
