Little Twig Records release Ian Hultquist original score for Clinical. The movie follows a psychiatrist who tries to put her life back together, after a violent attack, by seeking to repair the life of a new patient, but this patient has his own terrifying history... Ian Hultquist score for Clinical is intricate and multi-layered, but it's still not something that is easy to listen to on its own merits. This is a score that works best (as you'd expect) when accompanying the onscreen action. There's an interesting mixture of distorted voices, processed guitars, and of strings and choir, which give it its deep and intricate texture. The only question is, is whether or not you're a fan of Horror-esque suspense filled music cues or not. If you're not, then you won't get much out of this release. Of this album's 30 tracks (51 min, 51 sec) personal highlights include 'How Could You Know' and 'Intake Session'. These two tracks are particularly memorable, but whether you're prepared to wade through the other atmospheric tracks to get to them is questionable. Technically this is faultless, it's just not a very comfortable album to listen to on its own merits. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
