Plaza Mayor release Tony M. Mir's score for The Distinguished Citizen. For years, author Mr. Mantovani, has refused to accepted prestigious literary awards from all over the world. When he accepts an invitation to visit his hometown in Argentina, which has been the inspiration for all of his books, his past comes back to haunt him. But then what did he expect, when for years he has used real people from his past as characters in his novels...? Tony M. Mir provides a beautiful, mellow score here. The album is incredibly short, containing just 22 tracks (26 min, 06 sec). The opening track 'El Ciudadano Ilustre' sets the basic tone for what is to come (it's a laid back, classically based theme for solo piano). There's the odd electronic based track, but by far the oddest is 'Dale' - rather bizarre electronic dance track. If classically composed piano scores are your passion you'll find much to enjoy here. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
