Milan Records released Paul Haslinger's score for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The movie concludes the wildly popular Resident Evil film series. Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – the Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse... Paul Haslinger (Halt and Catch Fire; In the Blood; No Good Deed; Underworld: Awakening) delivers an above average atmospheric score for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Sadly, for me though, this was full of too many music cues and segments of music that just washed over me. There are no real memorable themes, or standout moments that really make you sit up and take notice. 'History is Written by the Victors' and 'Downloading Alice's Memories' show some promise, but they're over before the building themes can really get going. Personally, I wouldn't listen to this again for pleasure, but if you're a fan of the movie and Haslinger's work you'll probably enjoy it. It contains 19 tracks (44 min, 45 sec). 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
