Behind the moniker Kairon; Irse! there are four musicians from western Finland. Their debut album, Ujubasajuba was a digital only DIY Bandcamp release which managed to garner both critical praise and give the band a loyal fanbase... Kairon; Irse!'s new album, Ruination, sees the group going from strength to strength. The band describe their music as an appreciation of the ideas and overall mentality of experimental pop musicians of the '60s and '70s, combined with a modern approach and original musical vision. Whereas the debut album was largely born out of improvisation and jam sessions, Ruination is the fruit of two years of careful composing and arranging work. While born out of the shoegazer movement, it borrows heavily from classic progressive rock. Nowhere is this more evident than on the instrumental segments of 'Sinister Waters II'. The LP contains 6 songs (57 min, 13 sec) and will find a welcome home in any old school rock fan's music collection. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
