Varèse Sarabande release the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 2. The album features original music composed by Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard. It also includes songs written for the film and performed by Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, Le Castle Vania, and 'Plastic Heart', a reimagining of the John Wick theme (by Bates and Richard) performed by Ciscandra Nostalghia... For fans of the movie, this soundtrack will not disappoint. The album expands on the rock/electronic hybrid of the first movie's score. While I wasn't a huge fan of the previous soundtrack, this time around Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard appear to have hit their stride, producing themes that add their own character to the movie. The score contains 23 tracks (1 hr, 13 min, 40 sec) and includes music by other artists: 'Plastic Heart' (Ciscandra Nostalghia); 'Fool' (Ciscandra Nostalghia); 'John Wick Mode' (Le Castle Vania); 'Presto Museum Battle' (Joel J. Richard); and 'A Job To Do' (Jerry Cantrell). For those that are not a fan of electronic scores, then you'll probably find this all a little repetitive. It's also a soundtrack that's likely to age rather quickly, but then it's very unlikely that you'll be digging this out very often in the future. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
