Hanan Townshend's original score Strawberry Days (in Swedish: Jordgubbslandet) is released through MovieScore Media. The film tells the story of 15-year-old Wojtek who travels from Poland to Sweden with his parents to work on a farm picking strawberries. Even though the outside world would never accept a relationship like this, the young boy starts bonding with the farmer’s daughter as they find themselves trapped on opposite sides of a brewing conflict around the guest workers... Once again I find myself lifting my head to the heavens and thanking MovieScore Media for releasing a score to a foreign language film that would have probably passed me by. On the strength of the soundtrack I was intrigued enough to search out the film and it's now on my to watch list. At its heart this album is a subtle, romantic, melancholic score. How can you not fall in love with sweet tracks like 'Drive Away'; 'My Father'; and 'Parents'? The LP contains 17 tracks (38 mins, 17 sec). If you're looking for a new score to put on in the background while you relax then this is ideal. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
