Liverpool quartet Loved One’s re-emergence sees a shift in their musical direction. Their previous release, The Merry Monarch, was a lo-fi, ambient rock affair. Harness, however, witnesses a move into an eclectic, but no less focused, sphere of operation. While not a bad album, there's also not a great deal here to get excited about. I listened to this release on and off for several weeks. And with the exception of 'All This Matters', I didn't find anything that I'll be wanting to drag out and play in six months time. The LP contains 11 songs (41 min, 28 sec). It's an album to consume for a few months and then quietly forget about. 5 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
