Big Rounds Records presents Horizon Sunset, the debut record from international music collective #Bloomerangs. The group’s 22 participating musicians – hailing from the United States, Uruguay, Argentina and Spain – all blend their musical backgrounds on the album, which composer and producer Rodrigo Cotelo described as an “ode to endings that lead to new beginnings”... Horizon Sunset comes in two editions, the "standard" (which includes 12 songs) and the "deluxe" (15 tracks - 1 hr, 13 min, 47 sec). I don't know if it's the diverse cultures the musicians hail from, or whether Jazz is a truly universal language, but this album is a joy to listen to from start to finish. It features a diverse array of sounds and instruments, often with several guest artists playing with the set of featured musicians of the album. These sounds range from the banjo of the smaller quartet in 'Pluralize-It' to the accordion in the larger ensemble in 'Man B' and the harmonica in 'It Shall Pass'. This will act as the background to my summer this year. It's perfect for just about every occasion. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
